Skills for learning

What is study coaching?

Study coaching can help you to develop different study strategies and more independent ways of working, to enhance your University experience and academic performance.

Support workers can assist you in developing your reading and research skills. Study coaching can help you with planning, structure, written expression, proofreading skills, revision, exam technique and time management.

All of these are skills that will both improve your overall learning experience and benefit you in the future.

If you feel that you might need one-to-one study coaching because of your disability, then book a Quick Query appointment or register with us to find out more.

My Learning Essentials

You can access our award winning My Learning Essentials skills support programme as soon as you’re a student. This is run by the University of Manchester Library, in collaboration with other services across campus.

The programme includes a series of online-resources, drop-in sessions and workshops, which are designed to support you in your studies and development.
